National Security cabinet meeting starts in Michoacán

Morelia, May 21 (Notimex).- National Security Cabinet meeting started Tuesday in Morelia, Michoacán. The gathering, headed by Interior Minister Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, is being held in camera.
During the event, jointly actions fight organized crime by the Federal and the state governments will be defined.
According to schedule, at the end of the meeting the head of the Interior Ministry (Segob) will issue a statement to the media.

Mexico, May 21 (Notimex). - The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy weather, moderate rainfall with electrical activity, and northeast winds speeding from 15 to 30 mph for the Valley of Mexico on Tuesday.
The agency detailed that Mexico City could record a maximum temperature or 29°C and a minimum of 13°C, while the State of Mexico could have a high of 24°C and a low of 9°C.

Over 155,000 hectares lost to deforestation yearly in Mexico: Conafor

Mexico, May 20 (Notimex). ? According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Mexico loses 155 thousand hectares per year by deforestation, National Forestry Commission (Conafor) said.
Conafor noted that according to the Global Forest Resources Assessments (FRA), from 2005 to 2010, over 775 thousand hectares of forests and jungles throughout the country were lost.
Currently, the international agency has advanced 60 percent in forest data updating, in order to continue with a reliable record in this field, Conafor said.

Santiago, May 20 (Notimex.). - Bolivian government representatives coordinate with officials of US embassy in La Paz the procedures to concrete the expulsion of US Agency for International Development (USAID) from Bolivia.
Diplomatic officials and personnel of the Ministry of Planning are defining the procedures and administrative rules that will underpin USAID´s withdrawal, Bolivian Minister of the Presidency Juan Ramón Quintana told reporters on Monday.

UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Peoples kicks off in NY

United Nations, May 20 (Notimex).- United Nations (UN) Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues began Monday its 12th session, with the aim of improving conditions of the 370 million indigenous people living in 90 countries across the globe.

Mexico, May 20 (Notimex). - President Enrique Peña Nieto said the National Development Plan 2013-2018 (NDP) is the strategy needed to build a society of rights, with the support and proposals by citizens and social sectors.
